There’s something so special about photographing a summer wedding by the water — the sunlight dancing on the waves, the fresh air, the wide open skies. Christina and Andrew chose the perfect backdrop for their big day: a gorgeous waterfront pier with panoramic views, where every moment felt like it belonged in a movie. And while the setting was undeniably dreamy, it was the people — and a few unexpected twists — that made the day one to remember.

Let’s start with the heat. It was hot. The kind of summer heat that makes you question your life choices after three minutes outside — but you’d never know it from looking at the wedding party. Despite the soaring temps, this huge group of bridesmaids, groomsmen, and honorary crew showed up looking incredible and full of energy. The laughter and good vibes were nonstop, and the excitement was palpable as the ceremony began.

And then… they realized the rings were missing. Yep — in the middle of the ceremony. Cue a bit of panic (and a lot of whispering), but thankfully, a very quick-thinking friend sprinted off to retrieve them. The couple handled it like total pros — laughing it off and using the moment as a chance to take a breath and soak it all in. Honestly, it made the ceremony even more personal and real.

Once the rings arrived and vows were exchanged, the celebration continued into a golden-hour cocktail hour and a high-energy reception that had everyone on their feet. The music was bumping, the dance floor was packed, and the kind of joy that filled the room was contagious. From impromptu dance circles to heartfelt speeches and endless laughter, it was one of those nights no one wanted to end.
