New York City Wedding
Audrey & Matthieu/ Dear Irving
Photographing Audrey and Mattieu's wedding in New York City was nothing short of fabulous. The wedding day began in a sun-drenched Airbnb tucked away on a quiet Brooklyn street, made famous by its appearance on Netflix's show 'Stay Here.' Instead of the usual hotel buzz, the morning had a calm, intimate energy. Friends and family flowed in and out, mimosas were poured, and laughter echoed as everyone got ready together. It was the kind of morning that felt like home—but with a little extra glamour. The bride slipped into her dress in a soft-lit bedroom surrounded by vintage mirrors and warm wood accents, while the groom's mother helped him with his bowtie just down the hall.
For the ceremony, guests gathered at Atmosfera, a contemporary studio space in Astoria, Queens. 'At Atmosfera, inspiration lives in the details. It’s a space that invites curiosity, celebrates creativity, and fosters meaningful connections. It doesn’t just host people — it’s present with them. This is Atmosfera at its core. A labor of love, built with a deep appreciation for aesthetic nuance, intentional design, and moments that feel personal and alive. Atmosfera was imagined, designed, and built by hand by artist David Kasyanyuk — not just as a venue, but as a creative sanctuary. Born from a dream to nurture a vibrant artistic community in NYC, every corner of the space reflects that original vision.' The thoughtful attention to detail and passion for the space was evidenced throughout the welcoming sanctuary, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room as vows were exchanged, spoken in the beautiful French language.
As the sun dipped low, Audrey & Matthieu celebrated their unforgettable New York City wedding reception at the stunning Dear Irving on Hudson, a rooftop venue perched atop the Aliz Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. Set on the 41st floor with sweeping skyline views, this chic rooftop lounge was the perfect setting for their stylish and intimate celebration. With its Art Deco design, velvet seating, and floor-to-ceiling windows, the space felt like a cinematic escape high above the city—ideal for a modern NYC rooftop wedding reception. Guests mingled over custom cocktails and shared elevated bites, all while watching the sunset over the Manhattan skyline. The atmosphere was warm, romantic, and effortlessly cool—exactly the kind of vibe the couple wanted for their celebration. Dear Irving on Hudson proved to be more than just a venue; it was an unforgettable experience that captured the spirit of the city and the joy of the couple’s love story. I can't image a more perfect rooftop wedding reception venue in New York City, and the smiles as laughter throughout were evident.
The hum of laughter and clinking glasses mixed with the distant sounds of the city below, creating a perfect harmony of celebration and serenity. After dinner, the couple danced the night away with friends and family. From the relaxed Airbnb morning to the heart of Queens for a deeply personal ceremony, and finally to the heights of NYC for a celebration under the stars, this wedding was a perfect blend of intimate and iconic.
